Midget Coaches Organize 8-week Spring Training Session

In preparation for next season, and in an effort to minimize the “rust” that comes from the off-season, your 2014/15 Midget Coaches, led by Coach Tresnak, have organized a voluntary 8-week spring practice schedule.   Our thought is that it’s never too early to start preparing for next season, so why not take advantage of the down time for some light drills, some additional skill development and some extended time with the coaches.  Our expectation is that we'll work on skills and drills for about 30 minutes and then have some "managed" scrimmages for the 2nd 30 minutes.   There may be an additional opportunity for some scrimmages with a team from Austin, but that is yet to be determined.   Again, our goals are too work through any cobwebs and have some fun.

These sessions will be limited to players that have played travel hockey within the last 2 years (SAYHA or some other USA Hockey affiliated association) and will be Midget-aged in the 2014/15 season (birth year 1999 or older).  These sessions are not mandatory and will have no impact on tryouts (although, if you are going to miss tryouts, these sessions will be very helpful).   We will be collecting money after each session, and we are anticipating the cost to be $15 per player per session.

Anyone that qualifies per the above criteria or anyone that might be new to town and would be eligible to play Midget Travel Hockey on 2014/2015 is welcome to attend.
