In a membership meeting on Thursday, February 10, 2011, the Board asked all SAYHA families to bring forward any and all ideas that would help the organization raise money to offset cost increases for next year.  

The cost of ice time for practice and for games has gone up and is going to go up again next year.  Because of that, it won’t be possible to avoid a player fee increase that could be as much as $300 or $400 per player unless we all work together to aggressively raise money now and going forward to help offset these increased costs.

With approximately twenty-five members in attendance, many great  ideas were presented.  As the Board stated, no idea is too big or too small as long as members are willing to make it work. 

"We're not limited to the number of fundraisers we have,"  said Board Treasurer, Bill Rooney.  "We need some fundraisers to start as soon as possible, but some have mave a longer planning schedule.   We can have as many as people are willing to support."

Many of the ideas presented during the meeting are listed here.  The idea is for all SAYHA members to chime in and volunteer for the fundraising project they would most like to help with.
