Hockey is a lifelong passion for Thomas. For over 30 years, he has participated in the sport as a goalie, referee, and volunteer coach. In 2019, he founded The Crease Hub goalie training and camps, which has been beneficial to goalie development in the area. After moving to San Antonio from Bloomington, MN, he became involved in the local hockey community, volunteering his time coaching house hockey as well as coaching goalies at various levels and plays in the men’s league at Northwoods. In 2020, he started working with the board to implement a Goalie Development Committee. Thomas is a Level 3 certification as well as a Bronze Level goalie coach certification from USA Hockey and is passionate about getting more kids involved in the local hockey community.
Professionally, Thomas is currently employed as the Chief Operating Officer for a small privately owned real estate investment firm, growing that into an 8 figure business through the implementation of highly efficient systems and processes with minimal staff. His strengths include organizational skills, communication, and achieving results, which are keys to running a successful organization. His passion for hockey combined with his business skills would be used to help continue to grow the association.
In his spare time Thomas enjoys playing goalie in the men’s league, working on small electronics, and watching his son play hockey.
