Professional Bio

Steven C. Venezie is a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst for Accenture Federal Services supporting the Department of Energy’s (DOE), Integrated Joint Cyber Coordination Center against sophisticated cyber-attacks targeting US critical infrastructure. He recently retired from the Army in December 2020 after a 21.5-year career as a Signals Intelligence Officer and Offensive Cyber Operations Analyst. Throughout his 21.5-year Army tenure, he served in a variety of technical and leadership positions from team lead to Deputy Chief of an organization with 120+ military and civilians at the National Security Agency (NSA)-Hawaii and directly supported Intelligence Community agencies NSA, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He has worked and deployed all over the world supporting US government priorities and built relationships with countries such as South Korea, Japan, Philippines, Afghanistan, Kuwait, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

His previous roles include:

  • Deputy Chief, East Asia & Pacific, Computer Network Operations, NSA Hawaii
  • Senior Intelligence Officer, Joint Task Force-Counter Improvised Explosive Devices, US Forces Afghanistan

Hockey Bio

Steve grew up in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania and, has spent the past 30 years in hockey as a player, youth coach, and referee. He is an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and grew up with season tickets to watch the great 1990’s Penguins teams. During that time, he volunteered his time to assist the Mario Lemieux and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during annual charity events raising funds for medical research.

Previous Board Experience

He served as the Strategic Communications Officer for the National Intelligence University Alumni Association from 2019-2020. The organization consists of some of the most senior members in the United States Intelligence Community. He dealt with the day-to-day communications for the association and event planning for in-person and virtual events for the 1500+ member association.
