San Antonio Rampage

Some of you will remember that Jordan Cornell (Peewee Black Team) put together a charity event last year called Skate for Hope.  Our youth hockey players collected donations for the event and raised over $5000 for an orphanage in China.

He is still involved in the leadership academy that requires him to organize a charity event.  This year he created an event that will help families in San Antonio.  The event is a book drive and the books will go to homeless shelters, children’s homes, and maybe even hospitals.

After meeting with a representative from the ATT Center to talk about them donating incentive gifts, more meetings were organized.  There will be various gifts offered to individuals and teams which I know everyone will enjoy.  Also, the Rampage are going to offer a place for Jordan and a team to collect books.  At the beginning of the Rampage games on December 11th and 19th, books will be collected at the ATT Center.

Please help us by encouraging your player to begin collecting books and help our city.  Also, Jordan is looking for adult and youth volunteers to help collect books at the two Rampage games- Saturday, Dec. 11th and Sunday, Dec. 19th.

Also, please spread the word/share the flyer with everyone you know.  START collecting gently used books and start cleaning out your book shelves.  Books can be brought to the rink at any time/practice before the Rampage games on December 11th and 19th.  The 19th will be the LAST day to turn in books collected.  More information will go out soon!  If you have any questions, you can email Jordan or myself.  Please email us at robyn.t1@sbcglobal.net
