Thank you for participating in our 2024-25 travel season tryouts! This page will be updated again next year when we prepare for the 2025-26 season!
TRYOUTS WILL BE CLOSED SESSIONS - No parents should enter the ice-area/rink section of the Northwoods facility during any portion of tryouts.
The following procedures and guidelines will be used for Jr Rampage tryouts:
All players registered to try out for a team should be present for all scheduled tryout sessions unless arrangements have been made with the Commissioners, Age Division Coordinators, and/or Head Coach. Please contact us at board@sanantionioyouthhockey.com to coordinate.
Even in the situation that you cannot attend tryouts, you must still register for tryouts in order to be considered for a rostered position.
Your player should arrive at the rink for check-in forty-five (45) minutes prior to the assigned tryout time unless specific information received otherwise.
Upon check-in, your player will be assigned a numbered pinnie. All players must return his/her pinnie at the end of all tryout sessions.
No spectators will be allowed on, behind, or near the benches. Violators will be asked to leave.
Please note that Head Coaches and/or Assistant Coaches may or may not choose to be on the ice during the tryout sessions.
8U BIRTH YEAR PLAYERS
8U players trying out for the Jr Rampage are encouraged to be familiar with the TAHA Mite ADM Policy, located on page 24 of the TAHA Guidebook/Rulebook.
TAHA COMMUNITY-BASED RULE
As a TAHA member association, the Jr Rampage is bound by TAHA’s ‘community-based’ policy for all our teams. If San Antonio is not the closest travel hockey community to the primary residence of a player’s immediate family, please contact one of our association commissioners to discuss the steps needed to be taken. We strongly suggest that you initiate such requests at least two weeks prior to the date of the Jr Rampage tryout your player wishes to attend.
Any players residing within TAHA's jurisdiction but outside our boundaries must present evidence of such permission prior to attending our tryouts.
For more information on TAHA’s ‘community-based’ policy, please see the TAHA Guidebook/Rulebook, particularly pages 15 & 17.
PLAYER OFFERS AND CONTRACTS
Players will will be contacted within 72 hours of the final tryout. Rosters will be posted on the website after tryouts conclude and players have been contacted.
If your player is being offered a spot on a Jr Rampage team roster, you must complete the online season registration by the communicated deadline.
Failure to commit will be considered a forfeiture of that roster spot which will be offered to another player.
